Joo Il Yang, MD

Dr. Joo Il Yang brings nearly two decades of medical experience to Hanmaum Medical Center, with specialized training that spans an unusually broad range: surgery, family medicine, occupational medicine, and preventive medicine. That breadth shapes how he practices — combining surgical expertise with proactive, ongoing medical support so patients receive truly comprehensive care from a single trusted physician.
A graduate of the University of Miami Leonard M. Miller School of Medicine, Dr. Yang also practices at MemorialCare Saddleback Medical Center in Laguna Hills, keeping him closely connected to the region’s hospital network.
Dr. Yang is a forward-looking physician who continually explores new ways to make care more efficient and complete, including thoughtfully integrating new technologies and artificial intelligence into his practice at Hanmaum. To keep care accessible for every patient, he also offers virtual telehealth appointments and senior wellness visits, in both Korean and English.

Tai Won Kim, MD
Internal Medicine
Few physicians can offer what Dr. Tai Won Kim brings to every consultation: nearly six decades of experience practicing medicine. After earning his medical degree from Yonsei University College of Medicine in Seoul, South Korea, Dr. Kim immigrated to the United States to continue his life’s work in patient care — a journey that mirrors the story of many of the patients he serves today.
As an internist, Dr. Kim diagnoses, treats, and manages a wide range of conditions, including type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, hyperlipidemia, bronchitis, ataxia, and intestinal diverticulitis. His depth of experience allows him to recognize patterns, anticipate complications, and guide patients through complex health situations with steady, seasoned judgment.
Dr. Kim’s CMS Meaningful Use Stage 1 and Stage 2 Certifications reflect his commitment to modern, well-coordinated care — carefully tracking conditions, coordinating between providers, and maintaining clinical quality through up-to-date electronic systems. He welcomes patients in both Korean and English.
